After a few timeline changes, we’ll be open 9-5, Monday -Friday starting October 1st! We’ve been open by appointment for members, but the time has come.
Renovations have meant a few setbacks, but we’re starting to roll out our community & member services. We’re a lean start-up and a not-for-profit trying to figure out the best model for our community & our spaces, so it will take time to realize our full vision– and we’ve made time for that. Our grand opening is a long way off still (April 2017). Pretty much anything could happen between now and then. I mean. check out what happened in a week at The Sackville Commons…

Interested in coming to see the space? Check out our first event! This Wednesday, 6pm-9pm The Town of Sackville is presenting an evening including all our amazing local Community Economic Development organizations with delicious food.
As of October 1st, we’re really rough around the edges: We don’t have our fancy furniture, branding, signs, swag, stove, dishwasher, projectors or all the amenities yet. But! With our donated furniture, lots of coffee, fast internet & all the painting done and a crew of amazing members and volunteers– We are ready to start coworking! We will be rolling out our services as quickly as we can, and are excited to spoil our members and our community with our polished offering asap. We are planning to start building our community resource centre at our main entrance quite soon, and encourage you to watch our membership page– because it’s growing quickly!
Please check out ourevents page to see what’s coming up, and come drop in the space and help us pick out our new furniture and help us build our vision!
Here’s our current timelines for services:
We have drip coffee, and it’s free! But, October 7th we will be installing a trail run of a fancy, ethical coffee machine by Social Bean, for which we will have an honesty pot ( approximately $1 a coffee)
By the 2nd week of October, we will have a scanner/printer/photocopying machine that will be over 90% cheaper than most in town for our members. We have not gotten our fancy furniture yet or all our gear– but plan to do so before 2017. Please bear with us while we get by on donated furniture and lots of volunteer time. We will have a Moneris system in the space before November to take debit & credit in the space, but in the meantime we are accepting cheque, e-transfers and cash. We also plan to have all of our appliances by November! Our branding, signs & swag will be done by December at the latest.
We plan to launch the community resource centre entrance, fancy furniture & top notch technology by April 2017.
Special thanks to all our stupendous community donors, our hardworking volunteers (this means you, Wade Settle) and our membership for being so patient, supportive and generous. We couldn’t do it without you!
